Gonda: An emotional farewell ceremony was organised at the Reserve Police Lines in Gonda following the transfer of Superintendent of Police (SP) Vineet Jaiswal to Sultanpur, where he has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police.
The farewell programme was held in the auditorium of the Reserve Police Lines and was attended by gazetted police officers, station house officers, police personnel, media representatives and other dignitaries. During the ceremony, officers and personnel praised Jaiswal for his effective leadership, guidance, discipline, sensitive approach and exemplary working style during his tenure in Gonda.
As SP Gonda, Jaiswal placed strong emphasis on crime control and maintaining law and order. Under his leadership, the district police intensified preventive and legal action against criminals, pursued wanted and reward-listed accused, and conducted campaigns against illegal narcotics and arms.
Special attention was also given to the safety of women and children through initiatives under Mission Shakti, anti-human trafficking measures, women help desks and public awareness programmes. The Cyber Cell and Cyber Police Station continued efforts to prevent cybercrime and assist victims. Jaiswal also encouraged the greater use of technology and modern resources in policing.
During major festivals, religious events, examinations, elections and other important occasions, he regularly issued directions to ensure robust security and traffic arrangements. His leadership also focused on strengthening public confidence in the police while maintaining peace and law and order across the district.
At the farewell ceremony, police officers and personnel presented Jaiswal with a memento and bouquet and wished him success in his new assignment. In his address, Jaiswal thanked all officers, personnel, media representatives and members of the public for their cooperation during his tenure.
He said teamwork, discipline, sensitivity and accountability towards the public are essential values in police service, and urged personnel to continue discharging their duties with sincerity, integrity and dedication.
The ceremony concluded with officers and personnel extending their best wishes to Vineet Jaiswal for his new responsibility as SP Sultanpur and for a healthy, successful and fulfilling future.
